Education and Training
Dr. Djalalov received his PhD in economics from the Institute of Macroeconomics and Social Studies in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Dr. Djalalov also holds a Masters in agricultural economics from the Council of Study of Productive Forces and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Tashkent Irrigation Institute.

Research Interests and Expertise
Dr. Djalalov research interest includes development of pharmacoeconomics models, budget impact analysis, systematic reviews and meta-analysis. He has conducted economic evaluations in pharmacogenomics of Alzheimer disease, lung and breast cancers, smoking cessation and meta-analysis of colorectal cancer utilities. He has recently conducted and presented to the government health technology assessment (HTA) in high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention, type 1 diabetes and venous leg ulcers. Area of his interest includes dissemination of HTA knowledge in developing countries. His future research will focus on chronic diseases and the use of decision analysis, disease modelling and economic evaluation for making relevant and transparent health policy decisions.
