In 2013 Rebecca joined the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care's Health System Strategy and Policy Division's Planning, Research and Analysis Branch as a Senior Health Economist in the Economic Analysis and Evaluation Unit.
Education and Training
Rebecca Hancock-Howard has earned a bachelor of science degree in life sciences from Queen's University, a master's of science from the department of pharmacology at the University of Toronto, and received her PhD from U of T's Institute of Medical Science. Her doctoral dissertation used discrete choice methods to conduct a cost-benefit analysis of a health information intervention for pregnant women.

Her research interests include measurement of patient preferences and health technology assessment of interventions targeting maternal and child health and rare diseases.
