Current Position and Professional Functions

Dr. Naglie is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) at the University of Toronto. He holds the Mary Trimmer Chair in Geriatric Medicine Research at the University of Toronto and is a senior scientist at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and at the Toronto General Research Institute. He is a consultant in Geriatric Medicine at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and the University Health Network.

Research Interests and Expertise

The major focus of Dr. Naglie's research is outcomes evaluation in frail elderly populations. He has a major interest in quality of life and utility measurement in chronic diseases and is currently leading a national study on quality of life in Alzheimer’s disease. He also has an interest in drug policy and pharmacoeconomics.
