Current Position and Professional Functions
Aleksandra is a postdoctoral fellow, supervised by Dr. Valeria E. Rac. She is currently involved in several mixed method studies focused on evaluation of interventions for prevention and management of chronic diseases.
Education and Training
Aleksandra attended Medical School, University of Belgrade, Serbia. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario and received her Masters degree from School of Health Policy and Management, York University. Aleksandra completed her PhD at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto.

Research Interests and Expertise
Aleksandra's research focuses on health services utilization, economic models, quality of care and patient outcomes as related to chronic disease management. In addition, Aleksandra’s interests focus on policy interventions designed to improve the overall quality of care for Canadians, to improve patients' experiences of care, to achieve better value for money and to design innovative ways to integrate health care between hospital and community providers. Aleksandra is a recipient of several awards including Faculty of Medicine, Queen Elizabeth Science and Technology Award, and Diabetes Action Canada and Mentoring Group & Patient-Oriented Research Network Training Grant.
